His Love Proclaim Box ~ Valentine's Day Option

"And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!"  D&C 18-15
His Love Proclaim!

We Love Missionaries and we LOVE to send Care Packages filled with LOVE!

Happy Heart Day!!!    It's always so fun to see the pictures our Missionaries send home of them opening up their crazy boxes decorated in whatever the theme of the box is.  Most of the boxes we mailed were 12X12X8 which meant the flap size was just under 12X6 so you can simply cut one piece of 12X12 scrapbook paper in half for each flap.

You can pick up free boxes from the U.S. Postal Service in the Priority Mail section.  The Large Flat Rate Boxes or Large Priority Mail boxes come in two sizes: 12X12X5 or 12X12X8.  For the 'His Love Proclaim' box we used 2 pieces of 12X12 Sugar Coated cardstock from the Doodlebug Design Company in Buttercream color and 1 piece of 12X12 solid brown cardstock.  We cut both pieces of Buttercream colored paper in half then trimmed them slightly to fit the box.  We then printed off the MBM box flaps onto photo paper, cut them out, then backed them with the solid brown cardstock.  We attached everything to the box with Glue Dots for durability in shipping.

LOVE MAIL!   One thing we always included in all of our Missionary Box Mom Boxes was a personalized letter to each Missionary from each Mother.  Inside our letters we included our testimonies, the reason we chose that particular item to include in the box, along with uplifting messages filled with love.  A lot of the items won't make much sense as to why you are including them in the box unless you explain how it specifically applies to your Missionary and to Missionary Work.  Many times over I have received thank you letters from our Missionaries - but the things they thanked us all for the most was the letters we included.  It's just a little piece of 'Home' in a box!
So don't forget to write!

Love You Forever!!!  As we decided on each ‘Missionary Box Theme’, which we based around a scripture or missionary teaching idea, we would then brainstorm fun ideas that could be included in our box.  This 'Box' was pretty easy since lots of scriptures and teaching ideas center around LOVE. I'm sure it was just as much fun for us to build it as it was for our missionaries to receive it! Depending on the size of the box you are sending – you could include or delete any of the following items – or come up with a few of your own.  We tried to make sure that most of our items could be used to enhance missionary discussions, to be given away, to decorate their missionary apartments and left for future missionaries when they moved on, or simply eaten and enjoyed.  But of course there were always a few that were just for fun!

To start your Valentine's box off right - how about doing a 'Marvelous and Mighty Missionary' candy box.  Inside ours we included bite-sized or personal sized candy along with some more practical office supply items and even tucked in a few love notes to be found after they enjoyed the treats!  It was a big hit!

Marvelous & Mighty
Preaching a Marvelous Message
Becoming Marvelous Missionary

The Magnificent and Marvelous Missionary
Green is for the inspiration that you provide each day.
Blue is for your patience to show others the way.
Orange is for your warmth and ever caring style.
Yellow is for the way that you always make me smile.
Red is for the lives that you have touched this year.
You’re a very special Missionary, just like this box, that’s clear.
You place knowledge in people’s hands,
Proclaiming God's Plan for them to Understand.
It is Something they will Treasure,
As you melt into their hearts and minds forever.
You’re a Magnificent and Mighty Missionary!
Because you are on the Lord’s Endeavor!!!

If a heart-shaped box of chocolates seems a bit old-fashioned, try this for fun!  Place one or more heart-shaped cookie cutters inside a clear, round container then fill them with treats!  We stocked the large case with a variety of candies in different sized cookie cutters. The small one at right contains red and white rock candy; the bottom one, pink and white sea salt, for loved ones who favor savory indulgences.  You could also include a cookie mix with frosting in your box so your missionary can put the cookie cutters to good use!

Valentine's Candy or your Missionary's Favorite Treats for the Candy Box

Depending on where you are mailing your care package you could include the dry ingredients for the recipe below or add in a Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix and some Valentine's colored M&Ms Candies.

Love One Another Brown Sugar Blondies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup to 1 1/3 cup M&M's

Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and set aside. Melt 1/3 cup butter. Add 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar and mix well. Cool slightly. Add egg (beaten) and vanilla and blend well. Add flour mixture, a little at a time, mixing well. Mix in 2/3 cup M&M's. Spread in 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle 1/3 to 2/3 cup M&M's on top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

M&Ms Candy Love One Another Pretzel Treats

1 bag of Valentines M&Ms
1 bag of Candy Melts
1 bag of Mini Pretzels (Squares or Twists)

Preheat your oven on the broil setting.
Place a layer of the pretzels on a baking sheet. Only add 8-10 at once.
Top each pretzel with one candy melt.  Place the baking sheet in the oven for 20-30 seconds, or until candy melts are slightly melted.  Place one M&M in the center of each candy melt, pressing gently to spread the melted candy further onto the pretzel. Allow candy to cool/harden before putting them together in a bowl or gift bag.

 Missionary Valentine's Ideas:
Change This to Missionary Work!

For a second ‘His Love Proclaim’ box we used 1 piece of 12X12 Sugar Coated Cardstock #4084 in Swimming Pool Blue Chevron from the Doodlebug Design Company and 1 piece of 12X12 Sugar Coated Cardstock #1540 in Bubble Gum Pink also from the Doodlebug Design Company.  We cut both in half then trimmed them slightly to fit the box.  We then printed off the box flaps on photo paper, cut them out and attached everything to the box with Glue Dots.

  1. It’s no secret that most men only want one thing, right?

Well it turns out that’s not only wrong, but may actually be the root of many failed relationships.

In fact, the one thing men are universally obsessed with...

Is actually a feeling he’s been chasing his whole life.

It’s an elusive combination of emotion and biological drive that’s rarely satisfied in life or love.

And when you know how to satisfy this life long obsession...

He will make it his life long mission to cherish and please you...

And he will pursue your love to the ends of the earth.

Here’s a video you won’t want to miss that shows you how to become your man’s deepest obsession:
